Biochemistry
The Biochemistry department offers a comprehensive testing service using state of the art equipment to analyse blood and urine for a wide range of enzymes, proteins and other blood components to assist clinicians in the diagnosis of disease. Tests performed include:

  • Glucose
  • Electrolytes (Sodium and Potassium)
  • Lipids (Cholesterol and Triglyceride)
  • Kidney, Liver, Thyroid and Cardiac Function Tests
  • Endocrinology (Hormones and Tumour Markers)
  • Therapeutic drugs
The Biochemistry Departments hours of operation are as follows:

Monday - Friday:
8:00 am to 9:00 pm
Saturday:
9:00 am to 12:00 pm
Public Holidays:
On-call staff are available
